Move Work Grid
The work grid indicates what floor level you are working on - the height where walls, floors, and stairs will be drawn. And where directory objects are placed as a default. ContentsFloor Level Showing in Blueprint View Work GridThe work grid is the grid you see in the work area. Walls, floors and stairs draw on the grid. This also indicates what floor is shown in blueprint mode (other floors are hidden.) Floor Level Showing in Blueprint ViewWhatever level is showing on the status bar is what is shown in blueprint view. All objects dragged into blueprint view are placed at the current grid level.
All in-between floors are also shown in blueprint. For example, if you are showing grid level 2 in blueprint mode you will also see the floors at 2.53, 2.67 etc. However, to place dragged-in objects on a specific in-between floor you'll need to put the grid at that level explicitly with the Page Up or Page Down keys. Set Grid HeightThere are several ways to set grid height from the Edit menu:
Move Work Grid To lets you set grid to an even floor level or use Other to enter a specific grid height. Keyboard shortcuts: 1 through 9 keys.
Move Grid Up or Down does what it says. This is the easiest way to move the grid to in-between floor levels. Keyboard shortcuts: Page Up and Page Down keys. Grid Level IndicatorThe current grid level is shown on the status bar. Integer values indicate even floor levels. Fractional values indicate in-between floors. (Figure 1.)
