Curved Wall and Rounded Wall

In plan3D you must draw short straight wall segments to make a curved wall. The easiest way to do this is to use curved shapes as a reference.

Steps:

  1. Choose the Your Shapes>Cylinders shapes from the Directory.

  2. Choose one the shapes that is closest to the curve you want. Half cylinder, twelve sided, eight sided, etc. and drag it into your plan.

  3. Right-click on the cylinder and set the width/depth to the size for the curved wall you want.

  4. Put the shape where it's supposed to go in your plan.

  5. In blueprint mode, use the curved shape as reference and draw wall segments around the curve. The trick is to do one segment of equal size for each segment of the curve.

  6. You can link each segment as you go if you're using the default angles. To draw custom angles hold in the shift key when drawing walls. You may need to click the walls after you draw them to prompt them to link if you use the shift key.
